Geneseo Undergraduate Science and Mathematics Symposium

Each year during the last week of April, the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geological Sciences, Mathematics and Physics and Astronomy host a symposium for students to present the results of their research done with the faculty or as an outside project.  These can take on the form of a presntation to the Geneseo community or as a poster.  Students who participate gain invaluable experience communicating to others what they have done above and beyond the call of their standard courses.  It impresses their fellow students, faculty on campus and potential employers (when they see it on your reume).

For a list of speakers and abstracts from April '98, try http://www.geneseo.edu/USMS/.  Copies of last year's program are availble in a bix outside of my office door (South 330D).  Feel free to stop by and take one.
